What are the benefits of British Airways Executive Club Bronze status?

Bronze is one of four tiers of the Executive Club, British Airways’ frequent flyer membership scheme. In this article we’ll look at what the benefits are of holding British Airways Executive Club Bronze status.

When you first join British Airways Executive Club you’re given Blue membership. Being a Blue member doesn’t come with that many benefits so if you can it’s best to try and aim for Bronze. You can read more about what it takes to become a British Airways Bronze member here.

What are the benefits of British Airways Executive Club Bronze status?

Bronze is the lowest of the elite levels of Executive Club, but it’s still got a whole lot more benefits than Blue, the membership you receive when you first join. These are:

25% bonus Avios on all British Airways, Iberia, American Airlines and Japan Airlines

Free seat selection up to seven days before departure for you and anyone else on your booking

Club World, Club Europe or oneworld equivalent business class check in desks, regardless of your flight class

Priority boarding

The official ba.com page outlining the benefits of Bronze status is here.

Although you don’t get access to any departure lounges, one of the more attractive benefits is being able to choose your seat for free from seven days in advance. For non-status holding members seat selection is only available 24 hours before departure, so being a Bronze member gives you a good head start when it comes to where you want to sit on the aircraft.  You will also save substantial sums as BA now charges for seat selection in all classes except First Class.

You can learn about the benefits of British Airways Silver status, if you hope to get promoted further, in this article.
